Due to its shape, these coins were sooned named "elongated coins" or "pressed pennies", "souvenir coins" in Germany as well. Nowadays pressed penny machines can be found at many tourist attractions, allowing turn coins into pressed pennies, or souvenir coins. This means you can now create a diary of your travels based on your collection of souvenir coins.
